Field Day!

This year Jillian's School had it's first "Field Day." I loved field day as a child and was a little bummed when they didn't have it last year.
Jillian was really excited and was very cute. I was impressed with her hula hooping skills.
My favorite event though was the tug of war.
I am glad Jillian had fun and I hope they will continue on with field day in years to come.

Hula hoop toss
Hula hooping and jump rope
Egg walk.
Tug of War. Go Jillian !

More Photos! No Voting!

The winning picture from the vote below was picture A. I do love that picture and I think it is Jillian's favorite.
Here are some more shots that were taken. I also love these shots.
Clint and Natalie did such a great job that I want to hang all of them on my wall.

Jillian's Cake

Every Birthday I make my kids a home made birthday cake.
This year I decided to do a butterfly cake for Jillian. The colors didn't turn out exactly the way I wanted but over all I thought it was cute. The box of writing gels said that the colors were light pink, purple, green and yellow but instead they turned out to be completely different and darker colors.
I did not use a butterfly cake pan. I borrowed my friends 12" round, cut the cake in half, notched a triangle shape on the straight edge of each half, 3/4's of the way down, and than I flipped it. It was super easy.
The most important part is that Jillian loved it and said, it was "beautiful".

Easter Weekend!

I loved conference! I want to shout it to the roof tops. I am excited and renewed to be a better mother, to continue teaching my children about Christ and share my testimony with others. I love the Prophet and the Apostles. I know the words they spoke these last 2 days were true and inspired words. What a great time of the world we live and I am so grateful to be a part of it.

This weekend was also Easter weekend! What a great weekend to celebrate the resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ. I know that it is because of Him that we have the ability to repent of our sins and make it back to our Heavenly Father. He is our Creator and our Redeemer and I am so grateful for Him and what he has done for me.

It was great to have Easter Sunday and Conference on the same weekend. I couldn't have thought of a better way to celebrate Easter than to listen to the Prophets voice.

Below are the kids finding their Easter baskets.

Jillian loved her basket. She is excited to use her jump rope and her flip flops.
Bradley was so excited about his Mighty Beans and flip flops.
Baden didn't really care about his basket at first, but once he saw the candy he was ready to go.
The kids enjoying their fun findings.

Happy Easter!

Jillian's Birthday!

Jillian 's Birthday was yesterday March 31st. She had a great day. The pictures posted are backwards, but the day started off with a doughnut for breakfast, skittles (and other food) for lunch, a doughnut for her class birthday snack, and ice cream (at Sweet Tomatoes) for dinner. I guess it was literally a "sweet" birthday.
The above picture is the gift given to Jillian from her Gma and Gpa Graves. They also gave her a pair of black flip flops. Jillian loved them.

Jillian wanted a mermaid for her b-day so Gma + Gpa Gardiner gave her a mermaid, the new Chipmunk movie, and a book. She loved them.
She got a couple of other simple gifts from us and her brothers (like a boy barbie from Bradley). It was fun and simple.
Here is Jillian blowing out her candle on her first doughnut of the day.

We love you Jillian! We hope it was a good day.
