America!!

We live in a nation of freedoms and dreams. Yet we are so fear driven as a society. How refreshing it is to know that the newly elected President is a President of hope not of fear. A President with dreams of a better tomorrow. This is something that is in line with what the leaders of my church said at a recent conference they spoke of hope, pressing forward, not being fearful, and yet So many people expressed fear once the decision was made. Though my post here may not be popular with some of my friends or family I feel good knowing the way I voted holds true to what I have been taught in my beliefs that is: WE VOTE FOR THE MAN NOT THE PARTY. We look for the person that holds our values and is intelligent and a good statesman (as said by Brigham young in his teachings, the lesson: Earthly Government and Kingdom of God). Though both parties have different beliefs and some are good and some not so much. The party in whom each candidate belongs to does not define who the person is or what is in their heart. I truly hope that the next 4 years are successful for America. No I don't think that tomorrow everything will be fixed. Obama has a tough road ahead of him but I believe he is going to try to make things right. I love a person with conviction and O boy does he have it. Not every decision a President makes is popular but I believe that our new President has this country's best interest at heart.
I belong to a Church that is not fear driven but is faith and hope driven. And so I say life is not over as we know it and we need not fear if we are doing the things that are right.

I did not write this to argue but to inspire and to promote hope not fear.

click on the link below to check out his speech from Tuesday night. Yes words are just words but I believe you cannot speak with that much conviction if you do not believe in what you are saying. ( notice he does not boast of himself but instead says "WE" rather than "I" he invites us to unite and become a stronger nation).
