Baden Turns 1 !

On the 31st of May was Baden's 1st birthday. He was such a lucky boy because he had two birthday parties.
We did one on the 29th with family in AZ. We had tacos ate cake and hung out.
Than we traveled to Utah and had a second party on his real birthday.

Here is Baden completely unsure about the whole thing.
Here is the cake that I made for his first party.
Here is Baden eating his first cake. You can see that Baden likes to line up his food on the table.
Here is the cake that Rene made (Baden's Grandma in Utah) She did a great job but said she would never decorate a cake again.
Baden seemed to like it. Look at that cute smile.

Bouncing around!

Our summer has started off with a bounce. We have been quite entertained since Jillian finished school. We went to the park several days, we also went to the kids summer movie "Space Chimps" and the Bounce Jungle.
Below are pictures from the Bounce Jungle. The kids had a blast! Jillian had a hole in her lip or something because every time she drank water it went all over her shirt. I guess that is a great way to stay cool.

School!

Jillian had her last day of school on Wednesday May 20th. She was so excited for this day because of the "end of the year party." At the same time though she was sad because she was going to miss her teacher. Jillian had a great year in Kindergarten and has grown so much.

Below is Jillian's first day at school. She has changed not only in maturity but also physically.

Here is Jillian holding her metal for perfect attendance. She said she was the only one in the class who received one. You go girl!

Here is Jillian signing yearbooks and T-shirts.

Here is a picture of Jillian with her teacher Mrs. Richards. Jillian thought the world of her. Jillian would always come home and say " Mrs. Richards makes me so happy I just want to give her a hug."
Here's looking forward to next year. Good Job Jillian on completing your first year of school!

Jillian "Camp Rock" Recital

Jillian had her final recital for dance on May 16th. She was totally excited and said she was going to go out and be "sassy." Besides the looking around every once in a while I would say on the moves she remembered, she was "sassy" She told me she loved dance but she really loved being on stage.

Here is Jillian with her flowers for the great performance.
Jillian and Adilyn. What cute girls.

Jillian and Adilyn before the show.

This is the "hold your pizzas" pose from dance class.

Here it is. Don't laugh at my filming I couldn't find Jillian at first.

Pat's Run

Today was an adventurous day that started at about 5:00am. I decided at the last minute I was going to do Pat's Run, a 4.2 mile race in Tempe. So I got up early and drove to my parents house to meet my mom and friends to head to the race. This is where the adventure began.
1.) Traffic was backed up on the 202 getting off on Rural Rd.
2.) We could not find a parking spot for the life of us.
3.) Finally we found one on a small dirt road near Tempe Town Lake
4.) We only had 17min to race time and about a mile to walk to the start.
5.) We made it to the race on time whoooooohoooooo!!!! (5 minutes to spare)
6.) We ran the race it was fun, maybe a little crowded and more hills than expected.
7.) We finished and went toward the car only to find we were blocked in because someone parked in the middle of the only road out!
8.) We called the police for help. They could not help.
9.) So we built a ramp with river rocks so everyone with small cars could jump the curb (myself and another guy came up with this idea).
10.) It was actually quite fun and I think the most memorable part was building the rock ramp and helping people out (literally)!

Here I am with my awesome shirt! My time was 32.05 Min. for 4.2 miles. That is just over 7.5 min/mile! I am excited.
Here is a reenactment of my river rock ramp building skills.
oh no! Is it going to work?

Easter Weekend!

Happy Easter!
May we all remember the true meaning of this day. The Resurrection and the life of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He suffered and died for us so we could one day make it back home to our Heavenly Father. He was and is the ultimate example and I know that Christ is our Savior and Redeemer.
go to: http://www.lds.org/ for a special Easter video on the home page.

Here is our Easter weekend but the pictures are not in order.

Jillian and Bradley with their baskets. "Look at the excitement."

Baden finding his Easter basket. "Look he got pear sauce."

After Church before finding their baskets. "ahh can you feel the love?"

The Easter baskets. " That Easter Bunny is amazing!"

On Saturday we had a Easter egg or basket hunt. Here are the kids and their friends with their buckets.

"And their off"

Here are the kids before the Easter bucket hunt started. We ate an awesome breakfast before and than the kids came out in the rain to find some yummy candy ( I would run around in the rain for candy).

On Friday Jillian and Bradley dyed Easter eggs with our neighbors in our front yard. We have such awesome neighbors. The kids had fun with their first experience in egg dying.

The end result of the creative, colorful eggs and our great weekend.

Jillians Party

I promised more pictures from Jillian's Party: The theme " Pretty In Pink"
Above is the decorations. Yes I know cute!

More decorations. We put all of Jillian's toys and barbie house in the toy room so it could be a "pretty in pink" wonderland.

The party started with a little bracelet making. I was impressed with their creative designs.

After the bracelets, the girls had yummy pizza and koolaid and they loved it.

Here are the girls playing "Pink Pink Blue" ( duck duck goose). They really got into this game.

Present time!!! Jillian wanted to do presents before cake, so we did.

Jillian blowing out her 6 candles. She loved her " pretty in pink" barbie cake.

And of course we had to leave time for play time. The girls ripped into Jillian's new toys and had a blast. I think this was my favorite part of the party because I got to relax.
The party was very fun and successful.
Today 3/31/2009 was Jillian's real Birthday and now she is officially 6.
Jillian came down this morning and said "I am six today" and than she looked at Bradley and said " I am so much taller than you now." Shortly after she said " When am I going to be 7?"
Oh well I guess you can never make them understand how great it is to just be a kid and to try not to grow up so fast.

Jillians Party

Jillian had her Birthday Party on Friday night and it was a great success ( meaning there was no, fighting, screaming, juice spilled, kids injured and the house stayed in tact). Oh ya and the girls had a blast. We loved watching them interact with each other, they all had different fun personalities.

Below is the cake. It was one of the easiest cakes I have made. I always make the kids cake and I love doing it.
More pictures from party to come later.
