The Color Wasn't Bad.... But.......

Well I am back with another furniture make over. I liked the old colors of my kitchen table but I wanted to change it up......

The first 2 pictures are the old colors. Sorry I should have taken a before right before I started sanding.

And now for the after......

Soft Candlelight color for the chairs with a little distressing.
Mustard Seed for the table legs.
Provincial stain color for the top of the bench and table. And 2 cute boys in the background.

I love the result and now I am itching to continue on with my quest for finishing my furniture to my liking. It will happen in time, but I am going to take my time and pace myself...... Maybe.

Polka Dotted Fun!

What a fun birthday! For her real b-day we had a simple dinner out at Sweet Tomato's. For her friend party, Jillian came up with a polka dotted theme. So we decided to make it a a polka dotted movie night. We asked all the girls to wear something with polka dots, and we decorated with paper plates to make it look like there were polka dot's on the window and door. Instead of cake this year we had donuts with sprinkles. We played a game called pass the polka dot and we had a treasure hunt to find the treats for the movie. The girls than watched "Tangled" in our toy room (a friend loaned us their projector). I believe the girls had a great time. I had fun as well, but the quiet at 10:00pm that night was wonderful too.

My Sweet 8 year old!

It's that time of year again. The weather is nice, the trees are in bloom and celebrations in our home are coming out of the wood works. March is always a fun but eventful month for us. We have 2 birthdays in our family and our anniversary.
This year is special because our first child is going to be baptized. Jillian had her yearly birthday picture taken in her special dress she will wear on the day of her baptism. She also picked the temple as the location for her photo shoot.
She looked so pretty and sweet. I felt bad for her though, her allergies were out of control and it definitely shows in some of the pictures. Other than a few puffy nose, eyes, and sleepy pictures, Clint was able to capture some great shots.
