She did it!

Well, we finally did it! Jillian had been asking for quite some time now to get her ears pierced. After she saw and heard that 2 of her cousins had done it, than she really wanted to get it done. So we went to Claire's on Saturday when 2 people were working, she picked out her earring's, and hesitated for a moment and finally decided to climb up on the chair. The girl marked her ears and then both employees counted to 3 and shot the studs in. Jillian's first look was a look of shock but immediately the girls put a mirror in front of her face and said "look at your pretty earrings!"
Jillian did not cry and said it only stung a little. She was so excited and even today she couldn't stop saying how much she loved her earrings.

Trip To Utah!!! Better Late Than Never.

Below are pictures from our trip to Utah. We went in June and stayed with Bills parents for 1 week. We had a great time. The only thing different we will do next year is go in July so we can get out of the blistering summer heat.

Above: Jillian and Bradley posing on our way home from Utah we stopped at the Vermilion Cliffs.
Fishing

We went fishing at a fish farm. Jillian got all dolled up to fish, and it helped because she caught a fish.

Bradley caught a fish and on the same day he caught the flu.

Bill is teaching Bradley all of his fishing skills.

Jillian with Grandpa Graves.

Bradley was tired of fishing so he went and played with his brother Baden.

Look at all those fish. I am glad I caught one other wise I would have been embarrassed. How could you not catch at least one?

Zoo

We went to the Hogle Zoo ( I think that is how you spell it) in Salt Lake City. The kids had a blast. The weather was perfect for a day of walking around the Zoo.

Jillian being crazy. She was so excited to see the giraffes.

oooh ahhh oooh aahh. Look at that giraffe!

We spent quite some time chasing the peacocks around. The male peacocks were trying to show off and compete for the females attention so we got quite a show.

We went the park and played on the swings. Oh to feel like a child again.
We also played games in the backyard, went up through the canyon for some yummy food, I ran up large hills on my morning runs, Bill went fishing with his dad, and we went to the movie UP. All in all we were quite entertained and we look forward to going for another visit soon.

MaMa-Se,MaMa-Sa, Ma-Ma-Ma-Coo-Sa!

So today I watched the memorial for Michael Jackson. It has now sunk in that this great and talented artist is gone and we will never see him alive and performing again. I am grateful that he did share his talent with us because whether we like it or not MJ was a pioneer of the fun and funky sounds and scenes of pop music that we see today. His music brings back memories of different times in my life, and even at times inspired me to be a better person. My first MJ album was "Bad" and than later on I was given "Thriller" and than for my 17th birthday I asked my dad and mom for the "History" album. I remember my parents having the Thriller vinyl record and I remember pulling it out and thinking how cool it was. I loved his moves and could only dream of dancing like that. He was a brilliant dancer and perfomer.
From what I saw today Michael was a person with love for and from his friends, fans, and family. It was great to hear words spoken about their beliefs of God and the life after. Though His life was often full of troubled times and sadness, and I don't know if things said about him were true, but I do know that he had passion for what he did. I believe he was genuine in his lyrics about changing who we are and making this world a better place.
I am looking forward to the possible release of some of his never before heard music and all I want to say is; Ma Ma Se,Ma Ma Sa, Ma Ma Coo SaMa Ma Se, Ma Ma Sa,Ma Ma Coo Sa!
